Yuka uses a simple color code to inform you of the product’s impact on your health: excellent, good, poor or bad. You can access a detailed information page for each product, to help you understand its score.

Each product is evaluated according to 3 objective criteria: the nutritional value, the additives and the biological dimension of the product.

The scoring method is based on the analysis of all the ingredients of the product. Each ingredient is assigned a level of risk, based on current scientific research.

For any product with a negative score, Yuka will recommend a similar product that is better for your health as an alternative. Do your breakfast cereals contain dangerous additives and too much sugar? Yuka will recommend other cereals that are more natural and less sweet.

Yuka is an INDEPENDENT app built using Open Food Facts, a collaborative food product database. The cosmetics database was independently compiled by Yuka.
